# A seminar and a cultural programme organized on this occasion..

” For women empowerment, women will have to be educated. We will have to change our mind setup on the basis of gender equality.” Addressing Aanganwadi Sevika and Zeevika Didis these statements are given by ADM Samastipur Shri Vinay Kumar Roy, on the occasion of International women’s day celebration on 8th March’22 in Samastipur Subdivisional conference hall. On this occasion a seminar was organized on the subject of “the role of women in social changes”. Shri Roy told that different types of programmes and schemes are being made for women empowerment by the government. We will have to be aware about our duties and rights. He thanked to all of the women participants to make successful the liquor ban campaign in Bihar.
Subdivisional Magistrate Samastipur Ravindra Kumar Diwakar focused on the importance of this day. He said that without women nothing could be imagined in this world because they are the parallel creator of human beings. Furthermore he said that we should not discriminate among children. Girls and boys are equal by birth, so we should provide equal opportunity to grow their lives.
Senior Deputy Collector Amrita Pritam said that women have achieved success in different field of life. However, the participation of women is not sufficient in these fields. We have to do more for women empowerment.
District Programme officer Smt Alaka Amrapali said awareness of rights is the most important weapon for women nowadays. She told in detail about the different schemes under ICDS program.
On this occasion SHO women Thana Samastipur Smt Pushplata , famous lady reporter Dr Amrita Kumari, eminent national player Nidhi Rajput, CDPO Kalyanpur Smt Sushila Kumari, Dr Kanu Priya Mishra, ex professor Dr Abhilasha Singh, president awardee Smt Nirmala Kumari and famous radio announcer Smt Shweta Agrwal also addressed the program. The program was conducted by Mukesh kumar and thanks speech has been delivered by DCLR Samastipur Anil Kumar Tiwari.
Besides it , a cultural programme has been organized in the evening on this occasion. In this programme many girls students participated with their colourful performance.
